2020 Rd 09 Raiders vs Storm, GIO
Two big injuries have rocked the Raiders pack. Soliola is out for the regular season and Guler until Rd 17-19. The latest on Bateman is they are targeting Rd 14. A lot of eyes have been on Sutton this week with an expectation he would get a start. There's likely some value there and he looks likely to see more regular minutes even from the bench. We don't like his PPM with extra minutes so much though. It has been very variable in the past. We'll be watching to see how the minutes play out this week.
Hudson Young looks to have good potential until Bateman returns, He only saw an $11K bump last week and comes into Rd 9 with a BE around 30 and hopefully dropping. Tapine at lock will be interesting. His PPM there in the past has been quite variable and prone to mass negatives on occasions. We have him at 55 minutes for 44 points at this stage.
There's some mind games going on with Munster's expected return. He was on Fox Sports on Monday night declaring he was still 5 weeks away but come Tuesday he was named on the extended bench. Frank Ponissi stated that he was making an astounding recovery and was an outside chance for this week. Not likely in our eyes but next week becomes a possibility.
Ryley Jacks has been named to start at Five-Eight with Smith at Hooker and Brandon back to the bench. They are back to a 4 forward bench of Brandon Smith, NAS, Tino and Tom Eisenhuth. There are many looking at Eisenhuth from the last 2 weeks and convincing themselves he is a cash cow - Not Likely! Eisenhuth is there as a utility who can play edge or Centre, which is all they need to have every position on the field covered. Expect him to be back to negligible minutes, unless injuries happen. You need to look at the reasons why he got those minutes the last 2 weeks.
Vunivalu is out with a hamstring injury. No return date as yet. Seve takes his place on the Wing. There are a few holds in the Storm team at present, nobody we would jump at as a buy though.
