2020 Rd 07 Bulldogs vs Tigers
Yet more Fantasy Carnage with Will Hopoate lost to an ankle injury after just 4 minutes. Hopoate has had surgery and will miss 6-8 weeks.
After luring in many a fantasy coach, goal kicking rookie centre Jake Averillo produced just 8 Pts in 57 minutes before leaving the game with concussion. He will make money but it may be a little slower now unless he can jag a couple of quick bigger scores.
Raymond Faitala-Mariner produced a healthy 55 points, surely he made more than 3 tackle breaks in the game though? It sure seemed like it! Never the less he is looking a good cash down choice for those that jumped on board and rose in price by $39K for the week.
DWZ will drop back to fullback next week. The loss of Hopoate saw a number of changes including Cogger on to Hooker, JMK shunted to the centres, and Holland to the wing.
Bulldogs welcome UK Import Luke Thompson to the club this week to bolster their middle rotation. RFM and Jackson should not be impacted on the edges. Elliott should retain his starting Lock spot with one of Thompson or Tolman to start from the bench.
Harry Grant had an explosive 1st half including a try and looked to have the century in his sights. He slowed down in the 2nd half to finish with a big enough score of 77 Pts. Unfortunately just about every serious fantasy player owns him.
David Nofoaluma is having a break out season. He's averaging 55.7 with 8 Tries through 7 games. He has only scored below 50 once with a 32 vs the Raiders in Rd 5. 2 Tries and 77 Points in this one following on from his tryless 50 in Rd 6. He's only $26K above his starting price which is indicative of the dollar per point deflation so far this season.
Eisenhuth scored 49 in 60 minutes, pretty close to the 45 from 60 that we projected. He went up in price just $5K.
Tommy Talau fared better than Averillo for this week with 2 Tries, 44 Pts and a $42K price jump. Anything can happen in a single week. Over the span of 6-8 weeks we expect Averillo will finish in front.
Luciano Leilua had a 40 Pt week and dropped $14K. He's looking peaked. After starting with a Try and 50+ Pts in both the first 2 rounds, he has posted 5 Tryless scores in the 40's and lost only 12 minutes in game time in those weeks.
For those that have already made $33K from Sam McIntye, he seems to be traveling ok with 29 pts from 35 minutes and his Break Even dropping. Neither Mikale or Clark showed much signs of improved value with Twal out. Clark 30 minutes for 28 Pts and Mikaele 34 minutes for 26 points. Both only rose by $2k-$4k.
